UAE to launch Digital Assets Oasis in Ras al Khaimah
The United Arab Emirates has announced that it is to launch a “Digital Assets Oasis” in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. It will be the world’s first free zone dedicated to digital and virtual asset projects.

Dr Sameer Al Ansari has been appointed CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis. He commented that the implementation of the project would have the “forward-thinking” qualities that have become synonamous with Ras Al Khaimah. The scope of the project would be to promote innovation in the upcoming and emerging sectors of technology.
The United Arab Emirates already has an established reputation for innovation. The project will bring the country to the forefront of innovation and guarantee its place as a world-class business centre. It will be a unique hub for entrepreneurs, start ups and established businesses. The purpose built business city will offer a home for non-regulated activities in the virtual assets sector. It will be the only free zone in the world that will be dedicated solely to developing metaverse, blockchain, tokens, NFTs, virtual asset wallets, DAOs and other Web3 related businesses.
Applications for interested parties will open in the next few months.
