How far we’ve come
From its origins in 2018, AIBC has come a long way towards becoming a pillar of technological sophistication and entrepreneurial innovation globally. This isn’t to say that it began with a whisper and not a bang, far from it actually. The inaugural conference, AIBC 2018, saw Malta’s DLT and cryptocurrency regulation officially debuting at the summit. This was a watershed moment for the industry as a whole with Malta being one of the first states to consider a legal regime for the emerging industry.
We also saw the conference being graced by the likes of John McAfee, Ben Goertzel and Professor Stornetta, pioneers in the industry who went above and beyond to lay the foundations of this truly world-changing technology.
In the modern day, the Blockchain isn’t the only thing that has gone from strength to strength. AIBC has also grown exponentially with over 10,000 delegates attending the summit during Malta Week 2021. That AIBC Europe Summit also saw 800 sponsors and exhibitors, 400 speakers and even a Crypto boat cruise! With the community’s growth, we’ve also seen the AIBC network expand to include even more of the pioneers and industry leaders of the emerging space work hand in hand with the summit to expand, educate and inspire an ever-growing audience.
