Lux Botics are producing “ultra-realistic humanoids” with speech control, facial recognition function and artificial intelligence capabilities

Manufacturer Lux Botics, based in Sweden, revealed that it is now offering sex robot ‘clones’ of dead partners. These robots are created with 3D scans. The 3d model would be constructed with a robotic skeleton placed inside.

The first pilot study was carried out on a flagship model named “Stephanie”. The clients are able to modify Stephanie to resemble a loved one.

The company collects several photos of the individual and using a “very fine resolution” print out the 3D model. Nails, eyebrows and lips can all be modified to make the face a more recognisable one.

These robots also come with speech control, a facial recognition function and artificial intelligence capabilities. With people not being able to meet or date easily, the supplier Silicone Lovers, saw an explosion in demand as soon as lockdown took place.

The co-founder Louie Love said “Some…lost partners due to Covid and want a doll to aid with the grieving process, so it’s rewarding to be a part of that kind of healing process and know we’re genuinely helping people.

Many people who wouldn’t normally even think of dolls as an option have turned their attention toward dolls. We’ve seen a huge increase in interest from couples as well, perhaps they might be stuck at home looking at ways to keep sex interesting during lockdown or exploring safe ways to try threesomes.”

These dolls are priced between $5,000 to 10,000 for the clients and an additional charge of $3,000 – $5,000 is added to the bill for the printing cost.

Founder of Lux Botics Bjorn said: “We can make robots that talk but we have not made robots that truly walk on their own. We hope to develop this in the near future. We can make a large number of body parts that can move in a realistic manner. We have so far not made any body doubles but we do offer this choice for customers.”
