From 20:00 to 23:00 UAE standard time, the Intercontinental Dubai Hotel Festival City hosted the AIBC Awards in the luxurious golden Al Baraha Ballroom at a lavish dinner. Leading up to the event, hundreds of votes were cast to determine the top selection of tech innovators in thirteen categories. On May 16, the virtual booths closed. A selection of judges, themselves active tech entrepreneurs, decided on the final winners. The accomplished Dr Marwan Al Zarouni, who is one the major contributors to the Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2021, inspired the attendees of the honourable ceremony by emphasising the positive impact of technological innovation on humanity.
