SportsSkill, a pioneering sports tech company, has secured an angel investment from renowned investor KP Balaraj. This funding is set to propel the company’s vision of transforming athletic training through advanced artificial intelligence (AI). The company’s mobile app, which provides real-time insights such as technique analysis, fitness metrics, and nutrition guidance, aims to revolutionise how athletes train and perform at all levels, from grassroots to professionals.

Vision behind investment

SportsSkill was founded in 2020 by two accomplished athletes, Abhinav Sinha, a former international squash player, and Chetan Desai, a former ATP-ranked tennis player. Their shared vision is to harness cutting-edge technology to empower athletes in every aspect of their training. KP Balaraj is well-known for supporting visionary startups that have the potential to reshape industries. His investment in SportsSkill is more than just financial backing; it is a strategic partnership aimed at scaling the platform and driving further innovation in sports training.

The integration of AI-powered solutions helps bridge the gap between traditional training methods and the modern, tech-driven approach. As sports become more competitive, athletes need every advantage they can get to refine their skills, maintain optimal fitness, and make smarter decisions about their training regimens.

“We envision a future where tech is an indispensable partner in every athlete’s journey. Our app empowers athletes, coaches, and others to make informed decisions, providing them with the tools to enhance their skills, refine their techniques, and ultimately, unlock their full potential. The future of the SportsSkill platform includes the integration of real-time expert advice delivered through an AI chatbot, offering tailored recommendations based on unique user data. This transformative approach will allow athletes to make strategic choices regarding their training, nutrition, and mental preparation, enhancing their ability to compete and achieve excellence,” said Abhinav Sinha, co-founder of SportsSkill and former international squash player.

“This partnership with KP is not just about funding; it’s about redefining sports training globally. His mentorship will be instrumental in scaling our platform and driving innovation in athlete training and development,” added Chetan Desai, co-founder of SportsSkill and former ATP-ranked tennis player.

“We are excited to support two world-class athletes in their endeavour to build a game-changing sports tech business. SportsSkill has the potential to disrupt traditional training methods and empower athletes from grassroots to professional levels. Together, we aim to make a lasting impact on how sports are played, taught, and experienced across the nation,” said KP Balaraj.

How SportsSkill works?

The SportsSkill app is designed to provide athletes with actionable, data-driven insights. It uses real-time data analysis to monitor various aspects of an athlete’s performance, including technique, fitness levels, and nutrition. Artificial intelligence is the backbone of the SportsSkill platform. The app uses machine learning to create personalised training programmes that adapt to an athlete’s progress over time. This integration of AI enables athletes to make strategic choices about their training, nutrition, and mental preparation, enhancing their ability to compete and achieve excellence.

SportsSkill’s impact is far-reaching. By empowering athletes with AI-driven insights, the platform has the potential to transform not just individual performance but also how teams and coaches approach training. This platform will continue to evolve, providing athletes with the tools they need to stay competitive in an increasingly demanding sports landscape.
