At Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, NVIDIA took centre stage with multiple groundbreaking announcements set to reshape both the gaming and AI landscapes. NVIDIA’s unveiling of the RTX 5000 series gaming GPUs and the expansion of the GeForce Now service to India merely reinstated the perfect reason it occupies the top seat in the tech innovations chair.

NVIDIA’s major announcements at CES 2025

The much-anticipated RTX 5000 series gaming GPUs were one of the highlights of NVIDIA’s CES presentation. Boasting significant improvements in performance, these GPUs promise gamers faster rendering speeds, better ray tracing capabilities, and enhanced efficiency compared to their predecessors.

NVIDIA also introduced a new AI model designed to train robots, hinting at their entry into the advanced robotics business. This AI model is set to revolutionise industries by creating robots with greater intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to learn different scenarios and jobs, opening wide avenues for automation.

Alongside GPUs and AI models, NVIDIA unveiled a new desktop computer targeted at gamers and creative professionals. This powerhouse sports cutting-edge specifications, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking maximum performance for gaming and content creation.

NVIDIA’s next-gen DLSS 4 upscaling technology is expected to transform gaming visuals forever. By using AI to upscale low-resolution images, DLSS 4 provides near-native resolution quality with significantly enhanced frame rates, offering gamers and developers an outstanding gaming experience.

GeForce Now expansion to India

One of the most exciting announcements was the expansion of NVIDIA’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service to India. GeForce Now allows gamers to play the latest titles without needing expensive hardware, making high-quality gaming more accessible to a broader audience.

NVIDIA will set up a GeForce RTX-based data centre in Mumbai to support this expansion. Equipped with RTX 4080 GPUs, this data centre will ensure Indian users can enjoy seamless gaming with AAA titles in 4K resolution at 60fps. Although the price for India is yet to be unveiled, it is likely to be pegged to global standards. The special features—including DLSS and Ray Tracing—that define the Ultimate subscription tier make it highly priced for certain users.

There are both free and paid tiers for GeForce Now, with the free tier allowing gaming in full HD for up to an hour. The paid Performance tier extends playtime and supports resolutions up to 1440p at 60 frames per second. NVIDIA also announced that Ultimate memberships would soon become available in India. This membership offers the best deals in terms of providing the best experience with the least time in queue, 100 hours of gaming a month, and the ability to play in 4K at up to 240fps—a premium gaming experience.

Global expansion of GeForce Now

In addition to India, GeForce Now will launch in Colombia, Chile, Thailand, and Peru, building upon NVIDIA’s commitment to expanding the territory of cloud gaming worldwide. This expansion allows game enthusiasts to enjoy gaming with maximum quality, even if they do not have a high-end system to support such capabilities. The announcements made by NVIDIA at CES 2025 highlight the rapid advancement of cloud gaming. By using powerful GPUs and innovative AI, NVIDIA is setting a new standard for what gamers can expect from cloud-based platforms.
