AIBC at Consensus 2026: crypto, blockchain and AI seek next phase of digital finance

AIBC was on the ground at Consensus 2026, CoinDesk’s flagship conference as key players in the blockchain, AI and digital assets industry deepen their footprint in the sector.

Held in Miami for the first time, this year’s edition of Consensus gathered more than 20,000 attendees from over 100 countries, alongside 500+ speakers and participation from hundreds of Fortune 500 companies. The event discussed the accelerating mainstream adoption of digital finance and the growing intersection between crypto infrastructure and emerging AI tech.

Consensus 2026: focus on institutional adoption and AI integration

Consensus 2026 is structured around three primary pillars: Crypto at Scale, Institutional Finance, and Agentic Commerce. The latter highlights the growing role of AI agents interacting with blockchain-based systems.

The agenda spans six stages, four summits, and more than 200 sessions, covering topics including stablecoins, tokenisation of real-world assets, decentralised finance (DeFi), Layer 2 scaling, regulatory frameworks, and prediction markets. Programming dedicated to AI-driven blockchain applications and stablecoin infrastructure has moved to the forefront compared to previous editions, reflecting similar agendas in AIBC.
