AIBC is pleased to announce that Reeve Collins, co-founder of Tether and a leading pioneer in the digital asset industry, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the AIBC World Summit, taking place in Rome from 02 to 05 November 2026. Bringing together 30,000 delegates, more than 500 speakers and 1,200 exhibitors and sponsors, the event continues to establish itself as one of the world’s foremost gatherings for gaming, technology, AI, digital finance and emerging innovation.

Collins has been a major contributor to the development of the first stablecoin, shaping the trajectory of blockchain finance. His participation at the AIBC World Summit comes at the right time for the digital asset world, as stablecoins are set to expand from crypto-specific uses to global financial systems, international payments, and enterprise use.

From stablecoin pioneer to financial innovator

As the co-founder of Tether, he created the first stablecoin in the world, an asset that combines the features of cryptocurrency with the stability of traditional fiat currency. The term “stablecoin” began to gain prominence not long ago and is seen as a superior means of connecting traditional banks and decentralized finance.

But involvement with Tether also leads Collins to be one of the first adopters of the technology.  Collins also provided the world with the first platform for NFTs, demonstrating an understanding of how asset tokenization works long before this topic became popular.

Today, Collins serves as co-founder and chairman of WeFi and as chairman and co-founder of STBL, where he focuses on advancing what he describes as the next generation of stablecoin infrastructure.

Driving the Stablecoin 2.0 vision

At STBL, Collins is spearheading the development of a new Money-as-a-Service (MaaS) framework centred on what the company calls Stablecoin 2.0.

Rather than simply maintaining price stability, this model aims to make stablecoins productive financial assets, allowing value generated by the network to remain within the ecosystem instead of being captured by intermediaries. The approach seeks to enable institutions, enterprises and digital ecosystems to launch customised stablecoins while supporting greater transparency, programmability and scalability across financial services.

Alongside STBL, WeFi is working to bridge decentralised finance with everyday banking and payments, helping expand access to financial services through blockchain infrastructure.

A keynote focused on the future of money

During AIBC World, Collins will deliver a keynote exploring the rapid transformation of digital money before joining a high-profile panel examining one of the industry’s most significant questions: whether stablecoins, tokenised bank deposits or central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) will ultimately become the dominant settlement layer for global finance.

The discussion reflects one of the defining debates currently shaping financial technology. As governments, banks and private issuers all develop competing forms of programmable money, industry leaders are increasingly focused on interoperability, regulation, scalability and user adoption.

Collins’ experience across multiple generations of blockchain innovation places him in a unique position to examine how these technologies are likely to evolve over the coming decade.

Strengthening the Web3 programme

The addition of Collins further reinforces AIBC World’s commitment to bringing together the most influential voices across blockchain, AI, fintech and gaming. As digital assets become increasingly integrated into gaming payments, player transactions, tokenised loyalty programmes and decentralised ecosystems, conversations surrounding stablecoins are becoming increasingly relevant for operators, investors, developers and regulators alike.

His expertise spans more than two decades of entrepreneurship and innovation, providing delegates with first-hand insight into the commercial realities of building technologies that have reshaped global financial markets.

Attendees can expect practical perspectives on blockchain adoption, institutional finance, tokenisation and the next phase of Web3 infrastructure, alongside broader discussions on regulation, financial inclusion and the growing convergence between traditional finance and decentralised technologies.
