AIBC has announced Russ Shaw CBE, founder of Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates, as an ecosystem partner ahead of AIBC World in Rome this November.
Taking place from 02–05 November 2026 at Fiera Roma, AIBC World will bring together leaders from AI, blockchain, crypto, fintech and emerging technology as part of a wider programme built around innovation, investment and cross-industry collaboration. The event is expected to welcome 30,000 delegates, alongside 1,000 exhibitors and more than 300 speakers.
Shaw brings extensive experience in building technology communities and connecting entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and industry leaders across international markets. He founded Tech London Advocates in 2013 as an independent, private-sector-led network supporting London’s technology sector, and later extended the model globally through Global Tech Advocates. Today, Tech London Advocates connects more than 15,000 technology leaders, entrepreneurs and experts across London, the UK and more than 70 countries.
His work has always highlighted the importance of conditions for the development of technology ecosystems that can grow, and topics such as access to financing, digital skills, diversity, infrastructure, and international cooperation have also been part of his advocacy. In addition, he has been one of the leading voices on the development of artificial intelligence and on the UK’s position on the global technology stage.
Shaw’s appointment adds another layer to AIBC’s ecosystem-led approach, bringing together established technology networks with a summit that facilitates connections among the people and companies shaping emerging technologies.
AIBC World represents the flagship event in AIBC’s 2026 international programme, following editions in Eurasia and Asia. The Rome summit is designed as a global meeting point for technology leaders, investors, regulators and innovators, with the AIBC Stage forming one of five conference stages running across the wider SiGMA World programme.
The AIBC World programme will feature discussions spanning artificial intelligence, blockchain, crypto and digital innovation, alongside opportunities for startups, investors and established businesses to connect. The event will also host the first AIBC World Awards in Rome, recognising achievements across AI, crypto, blockchain, fintech and emerging technology.
With Shaw joining the ecosystem, AIBC continues to strengthen the network surrounding its flagship Rome summit and create further opportunities for technology communities to connect across borders.
AIBC World takes place at Fiera Roma from 2–5 November 2026.
