Garron Whitesman is recognised internationally as a leading lawyer in the gambling industry. He is the founding partner of Whitesmans Attorneys which he established in 2006. Garron was admitted as a South African attorney in 1996 and has BA LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Cape Town. He has been practising gambling law since 2003. For over two decades, Garron has developed and maintained a global practice in gaming, gambling and commercial law. Wayne began his law career in the late 90’s after graduating from UKZN, Durban. He completed his training in Durban at one of the oldest law firms in the country where he established a technology department establishing  a firm grounding in technology, new media and e-commerce. In 2002, he relocated to Johannesburg to work as in-house legal counsel for what was then amongst the largest outsource service providers to the interactive gambling industry worldwide. It is here that Wayne cut his teeth in the gambling industry and he has practised exclusively in such arena since. In 2003, Wayne founded the law firm of Lurie Incorporated. Since then, he has been widely consulted by a broad range of clients on all manner of matters surrounding gambling, both online and terrestrial.
