Marija Rucevska is an entrepreneur who has over 5 years of experience in building tech startup ecosystems across the Baltics.

As a co-founder of Helve, a strategic innovation company, she works with ambitious organisations committed to creating the future, instead of being disrupted by it. Helve provides end-to-end services to help organisations committed to unrelenting growth by leveraging experience and networks to drive change through transformation, communication, and strategic partnerships. One of the latest internal initiatives that Helve has launched is Growth School – a peer learning platform for market-relevant skills.

Marija Rucevska is also the force of nature behind the Baltic tech conference TechChill, and she has been instrumental in driving the growth of the non-profit organisation going by the same name. As Co-founder, Member of the Board member, and former Chief Executive of TechChill Foundation, she ensured that her passion as an evangelist for the Baltics as a start-up-friendly location was translated into concrete policy. TechChill is now the leading platform in the Baltics for matching start-up entrepreneurs, disruptors, investors, and others with an interest in the sector.

Over the years Marija has left an indelible handprint on the local and regional start-up scene in Latvia and the Baltics.

Marija is an active advisory member for the Latvian government when it comes to crafting the overall nation’s strategy towards IT and tech. She is a passionate ambassador for Baltic tech and works to help the region gain visibility in order to attract foreign talent, smart investment and media attention that it deserves.

Currently, Marija Rucevska has co-founded another venture – Quro.io – a company aiming to fight climate change by offering global scale solution – a creation of a new type of economy (sustainable one) based on a digital asset-backed currency trusted and accepted by all parties. She’s in charge of operations and business development. Marija believes in social entrepreneurship and is proud of everyone who works towards building a more sustainable environment for everyone.
