Josep A. Aliagas is a global-minded person. Economist, tech-investment banker, serial entrepreneur with multiple successful exits, and a thought leader in developing strategic innovation for success. With over 25 years of experience in business development and consulting for high-profile clients around the world. Advised fast-growing, entrepreneurial, and typically founder-controlled enterprises in the converging sectors of the technology; energy; and infrastructure industries around the world. Technology, marketing & communications, e-commerce, AI and data analytics, and various business software areas are all covered by experience.

Josep A. has worked with a number of the world’s major private equity groups, as well as U.S. and foreign strategic acquirers. Cross-border and domestic M&A, financing, and strategic advising are some of his specialties. Also, he has held a number of leadership positions and founded various companies around the world since 1994 – Kompyte, first as an angel investor, board member, and advisor, then as an Enterprise Sales VP in Silicon Valley, managing customers such as Apple, Linkedin, Cisco, and Lyft.

Furthermore, he serves as a mentor and counselor to a number of enterprises and organizations in the United States and Europe.

Josep has worked for worldwide clients in a number of industries, including financial services, media & entertainment, and telecom, as an entrepreneur, economist, and technology specialist in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Fluent in seven languages, with experience working and living in Europe, Africa, Asia, and America, as well as travel to over 85 countries.

AIBC brought together the pioneers of a bright new age of emerging technology ready, able and willing to be the vanguard of Tomorrow. Other than just the established names, we also hosted many an entrepreneur seeking to expand the frontiers of AI and the Blockchain ever forward.

Finally, Med-Tech World united the medical professionals of many disciplines to combine their keen minds and inexhaustible passion for a better tomorrow with the entrepreneurial spirit of investors who also dream of a world free from disease and cancer.

The Week also saw many a networking dinner, speaking panel, drink gatherings and other opportunities for our hard-working delegates to unwind. A few highlights include the awards that congratulated those whose dedication, skill and acumen made them a leading figure in their industry as well as the fact that the conferences where graced by titans such as John Karony, Nolan Bushnell, Djibril Cissé, Akon and Mark Blandford who was awarded an Outstanding Contribution of the Year award for his pioneering work in the iGaming industry.
