Eric Wall

Eric is an investor and cryptocurrency researcher who is well-known for his in-depth critiques and exposing systemic flaws in high-profile cryptocurrency projects. He is the former head of blockchain and cryptocurrency at Nasdaq-owned Cinnober and holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Lund University where he specialized in blockchain technology.

He holds a master’s degree of Science in Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering Technologies from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. This Master’s programme was designed to meet the need for engineers who can apply the technologies of the communications field to construct sophisticated, yet easy-to-use information systems for data exchange. Graduates possess a holistic and specialized comprehension of networked communication, and can thereby actively participate in the development of large, complex communication systems.

Eric was Cryptocurrency & Blockchain Advisor at Nasdaq. Merged firms via Nasdaq’s acquisition of Cinnober in 2019. Worked briefly with the Nasdaq blockchain team as an advisor on architectural choices and business partners connected to the Symbiont private blockchain and their overall strategy.

Wall worked as Advisor at Human Rights Foundation, advising the Human Rights Foundation on cryptocurrencies and privacy in a project to promote global economic freedom. Funded by the Zcash Foundation.

For four months, he was an Expert Witness at Stavanger commune. Expert witness in a Norwegian cryptocurrency-related civil suit addressing deeply technical matters related to the case.

Nowdays, he is Chief Investment Officer at Arcane Assets. A scandinavian multi- strategy cryptocurrency investment firm. Part of the Arcane Crypto AS family.

He is also Advisor at Vinter Capital. Vinter is an index provider for crypto assets. It makes crypto ETFs possible and works with leading issuers in Europe. It developed the first crypto indices in the Nordics approved by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). It introduces crypto assets to the traditional financial industry and reliable pricing and trust to the blockchain community. Its multinational team consists of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience from cryptocurrency research and trading, data engineering, corporate law, investment banking, and structured products.
