Medicann open one of their clinics on the British island of Jersey

Medical Cannabis Clinics have offered patients access to medical cannabis products that are not yet offered by the NHS, and upcoming welcomer of these clinics is going to be the British island of Jersey. The island is the largest of the Channel Islands, situated between England and France. The clinic will be opened by Medicann Clinics who have teams in the Isle of Man and Guernsey as well, and they have international connections with experts in the field, conducting research on this alternative medication.

Up till now, residents of the island were only able to get medical cannabis through clinics in the mainland UK, a lengthy and inconvenient process which takes a lot of procedures, is generally quite expensive, and takes extra time.

With the opening of this clinic, clinicians will be able to prescribe products to a wide variety of patients for different conditions. One of the most common condition for which medical cannabis is prescribed is chronic pain, which although infamously difficult to treat, but cannabis seems to be a treatment option from results of current studies and medical evidence.

Medicann are also hosting a program to train doctors on the island to become pain specialists who will have the knowledge and experience to prescribe cannabis to patients.
