Aston Villa becomes the latest major sporting organization to launch a fan token in partnership with Chilliz.
The $AVL fan token will be available on the Socio app with all current Aston Villa members and season ticket holders having the option to redeem a free $AVL token for a limited time only. The token is set to boost the club’s global fan engagement by offering the chance to participate in a series of interactive votes with the club every season.
$AVL fan token holders will also gain access to exclusive club-related content and get to experience ‘Token Hunt’, Socios.com’s geolocation, augmented reality feature. They will also have the opportunity to form part of a global digital community going head to head with other fans in club-related games such as quizzes and competitions, earning real-life and digital club-related prizes along the way.
